# The Lifeblood of the PolkaMAPS Ecosystem

## **Introduction to $PMAPS**

The $PMAPS token is the lifeblood of the PolkaMAPS ecosystem, a bespoke economic model designed to enrich user interaction and facilitate the platform's growth. $PMAPS tokenomics are carefully crafted to ensure alignment with the project's long-term vision, providing utility, incentivizing participation, and rewarding engagement.

## **Token Total Supply, Burning and Utility**

Not like any other token, $PMAPS offers a unique set of utility and perks to its hodlers. And it is no different with it's max cap: we incorporated a two-dimensional limit to its max cap: quantity and time.

* **Total Supply:** $PMAPS has a total supply of 5 millions tokens. There is **no inflation mechanisms** and there won't be new ways to secure $PMAPS
* **Time Limit:** the token will last until it reaches the total supply or until the first plot in PolkaMAPS is minted. As the project evolves, this constraint **might be reduced** and the team will give a 5-day notice before it closes. 

The remainder tokens that were not minted will be **burned.**

$PMAPS is more than just an inscription token; it's an integral component of the PolkaMAPS ecosystem that influences its functionality and user dynamics. This section explores the impact of $PMAPS on the ecosystem, including:

* **Early Access**: Holders of $PMAPS will be given priority access to new plot purchases, allowing them to stake their claim on the PolkaMAPS landscape before the general public.
* **Plot Purchases**: $PMAPS serves as the native currency within PolkaMAPS, enabling users to acquire plots using tokens. This integration ensures a seamless transaction experience and maintains the platform's closed economic loop.
* **Attribute Boost**: Utilizing $PMAPS in plot transactions confers additional benefits, enhancing the inherent attributes of the land within PolkaMAPS. This mechanism encourages active participation and investment in the ecosystem's growth.
* **Community Treasury and Governance:** By utilizing (burning) your $PMAPS, users will be granted with an allocation in the governance of PolkaMAPS, participating on the decision of the Treasury, future projects and community-driven initiatives.
